Job Title: Data Engineer

Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer who has strong knowledge of SQL and Azure Data Factory. You will build and manage data pipelines and ETL processes. You will also work on data warehouses and help teams get clean and useful data for reports and analytics. This role is best for someone who can work independently and solve data problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage ETL and ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory
- Build and maintain data integration solutions using SSIS
- Write advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimized scripts
- Create data automation and processing scripts using Python
- Build and monitor scalable data workflows
- Maintain high data quality and data governance standards
- Support data warehouse systems and reporting tools
- Fix and troubleshoot data issues
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in SQL including performance tuning and indexing
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory
- Good experience with SSIS and Microsoft SQL Server
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks
- Strong understanding of ETL and ELT processes
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Experience with relational databases and cloud data platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as a core data engineer
Nice to Have:
- Microsoft or Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Knowledge of data modeling including star schema and snowflake schema
- Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards and LS Retail
- Retail industry experience
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization
