Key Responsibilities

As a SOC Trainee, you will:

• Learn how to monitor network activities and detect security incidents.
• Assist senior SOC analysts in real-world threat detection and response efforts.
• Work with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and endpoint detection tools (EDR).
• Help analyze incident data and prepare preliminary reports.
• Develop an understanding of different types of cyberattacks and their mitigation strategies.
• Take part in shift-based operations, maintaining vigilance during high-pressure situations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

• A basic understanding of core cybersecurity concepts and frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn SIEM, EDR tools, and incident response procedures.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts and handle stress during critical incidents.
• A degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Security (IS), or a related field.
