Job Overview: Vision Telecom is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to lead and enhance our cybersecurity initiatives. You will be responsible for protecting information assets, managing security operations, conducting penetration tests, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role is ideal for a proactive and skilled cybersecurity professional who can lead projects and mentor teams while defending against cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the Information Security & Governance Division and Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and awareness programs
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and patch management
- Supervise SIEM solution maintenance and incident response activities
- Provide recommendations for tools, processes, and best practices in cybersecurity
- Prepare periodic reports and updates for Senior Management and Board Committees
- Participate in IT project evaluations and provide security guidance
- Train and mentor team members on the latest cybersecurity standards and tools
- Perform any other assignments delegated by the Chief Risk Officer
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong experience with penetration testing tools (Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nessus, Nmap, Kali Linux, Wireshark, Hydra) and SAST, DAST, SCA tooling
- Experience in cyber threat intelligence, security operations, incident response, and security research
- Security certifications like CEH, GIAC, CISSP, CCSP are highly desirable
- Knowledge of privacy regulations and security frameworks (SOC, CCPA, GDPR)
- Solid understanding of OSI network model and TCP/IP protocol stack
- Familiarity with industry standards such as NIST and CIS
- Strong knowledge of OWASP and SANS models related to application security
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Self-starter, highly collaborative, and driven to achieve goals
- Forensic approach to investigations and incident handling
